INVENTORY & RECEIVING MANAGER
Dan Schantz Farm & Greenhouses LLC is currently seeking an experienced Inventory & Receiving Manager to join our team at our main commercial growing, shipping, and warehouse facility located in scenic Lehigh County at 8025 Spinnerstown Road, Zionsville, PA 18092.
This is a full-time, year-round position with general work hours of Monday to Friday from 7:
30 a.
m.
to 4 p.
m.
plus longer hours and Saturdays required during busy seasons.
The Inventory & Receiving Manager is responsible for accurately managing hard goods inventory and receiving deliveries to our commercial greenhouse facility.
This job requires a very hands-on approach with the ability to supervise other workers to accomplish both warehouse and administrative tasks.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Make supply requests:
Continually review inventory to determine what supplies must be orderedPrepare purchase orders and submit to our Purchasing ManagerTrack status of orders and communicate any challenges regarding shipment and delivery to the Purchasing ManagerReceive incoming shipments:
Oversee deliveries of items to our commercial greenhouse facilityUpon delivery, confirm counts, inspect quality, handle live plants according to specific instructions, communicate damage or issues with live plants as appropriateMatch deliveries precisely to purchase orders and note any discrepanciesScan shipping documentation and enter material received to our inventory databaseOrganize and maintain stock:
Ensure all items are properly tagged, labeled, and safely stored in appropriate areaMaintain physical counts and track adjustments due to damage or transferKeep all warehouse and storage areas safe, clean, orderly, carefully organizedCoordinate production supplies:
Prepare and place daily supplies needed for production crews as directed by Production ManagerAccurately track material used and return any unused supplies to appropriate areaCoordinate with our off-site Location Managers regarding the transfer of inventorySchedule transfers through our Dispatch Manager in timely mannerQualifications or skills needed:
At least one year of inventory & receiving management experience or related degreeIntermediate computer aptitude, including Microsoft Excel and database applicationsStrong attention to detail and organizationAbility to effectively communicate, lead others, make good decisions in a fast-paced environmentIntrinsic motivation to achieve goals and contribute to success of team and companyHorticultural knowledge or education helpful Must be able to:
Operate equipment, including forklift and pallet jacksStand and walk for long periods of time each dayLift, carry, move 25
poundsPush, pull, maneuver rolling greenhouse shipping cartsWork in greenhouse environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, dirt, dust, and other possible allergens We offer:
